Postdoctoral Associate/Research Associate
We are seeking a highly motivated electrophysiologist with experience utilizing whole-cell patch-clamp technique in primary neuronal cultures or brain slice to join our Huntington’s Disease drug discovery project. The goal of this project is to evaluate potential therapeutic compounds and gene targets for the treatment of Huntington’s Disease in a primary neuronal cell culture model.
Qualifications:
Background will include a Ph.D. in Neurobiology or related field or a B.S./M.S. and several years experience as an electrophysiologist in an academic or research setting. Experience in primary cell culture and basic molecular biological techniques are a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills including the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
